Matteo and I spent yesterday afternoon playing with colours
Like his great-grandfather (who knows how many steps there are in every area of his home), Matteo likes to count
Trains run through the dwarf hills

Blue is Matteo's favorite colour

We ended the afternoon making window stars

What a lovely day! How did you make those gorgeous window stars??
Beautiful!
I love the stars!!
I just watching the sun coming into my livingroom, and bouncing off the wood, and i was thinking "I want to make some stained-glass something - meaning hearts with tissue paper, ie kid stained-glass :), and so those stars are especially fine to my eyes.
Looks like fun!
How do you make the window stars? Are they origami?
wonderful, i like this quiet phtos with the beautiful colors and the sunlight
Thanks so much everyone! They were surprising easy- those 2 took about 20 minutes to make. I used instructions from the Berger book "Crafts Through the Year". Here is a link that has basic instructions:

I used 6"x 6" colored kite paper that I bought at a local Waldorf-y toy store, but you can order it from Hearthsong or what sounded even groovier was painting some wax paper...
I want to say something, but I don't even know what to say. I'm completely speechless. I wish my kids could experience your kind of parenting for a while.
oh such beautiful photos. i love seeing how calm and peaceful it all is and the colors are just nurturing. i need to learn to make window stars. they are just so beautiful..:) thanks for sharing your world once again marina...so inspiring..:)
I think you must be the coolest mom in the world. Can I come over to gain a few parenting tips? ;)
Pretty pics! Looks fun! I have a whole pile of tissue paper to do stars and I printed out instructions but haven't had a chance to do them yet. Little boy is a bit too young to do them with me yet. But whenever I see pictures they just make me happy!
I just popped over here from Frontier Dreams. This post is such an inspiration. My little guy was playing in much the same way yesterday.
