Spring Cleaning

I've been feeling kind of quiet these days. There's been a sweet rhythm going on in our home. The rains that went on for weeks have stopped and already warmer weather and Spring seem to be upon us.

I've spent my time cleaning our home, removing the myriad of things that seem to accumulate and block the flow of an uncluttered life. My kitchen countertops shine and I actually find joy in cooking for my family again.

The boys and I walk to school and take the time to smell the flowers

The afternoons are spent doing crafts such as these Valentines finger puppets for friends

... but mostly I spend a great deal of time just watching my beloved boys... relishing this time of them being so little... so playful

Right at this moment, I am happy and content...
I am savoring this moment of feeling quiet and settled as we all know these times can be fleeting and short lived

Sending You Love and Joy,
Marina

so sweet. how i miss california and it's inspiring weather. :-) not much of a spring feeling in our part of the world, except for a shy little snowdrop or two peeking out of the snow!

aw..you have daffodils already! spring is arriving early to the PNW. i remember being in humboldt and waiting for the daffodils as they were the first to arrive and announce that spring was here..;) we are experiencing the opposite. we actually had sleet and snow this week...a rarity here. lots of icy cold rain right now. the daffodils are just now poking their heads up from the ground, maybe about an inch through..;)

enjoy!!! and your kitchen looks marvelous, want to come do mine? heheh

Hello there
It is wonderful to have times spent at a slower, comtemplative rythmn. How beautiful and uplifting to see pictures of blossom and daffodils. I really love your blog header pictures - full of love! Fun Valentine crafts too. Wishing you a wonderful Valentines weekend.

I can totally relate to your enthusiasm for cooking in a tidy kitchen. Or rather, I know what it's like to not want to even go near the kitchen when it's not clean. ;)

So true. I notice when I mentally make a point to stop and really looks at my children, a little light just seems to shine, and I think how I want to remember those moments forever. Slow is good.

I'm trying to incorporate a good cleaning and clearing into my home as well. It's hard for me to center, create, and be present when everything is in a disarray. It will be fun to post the before and after pics of my studio/multipurpose room!!! But I'm still working on the "after" part!!!!
Glad you are feeling serene!

I love the jars in a line. I did some organizing a few weeks back and brought out our misc jars and filled them up with our bulk items and now they are out on a shelf. I really like the small change, because now I can see what I have.
And the budding daffodils...sigh. Spring is right around the corner.
